We're searching for a top-tier professional to join our team as a Track Maintenance Manager to oversee the inspection, measurement, maintenance, and renewal of trackwork assets in line with industry standards and trackwork manuals. Based at our Edinburgh Depot, you'll play a key role in planning and delivering maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently. From conducting detailed track inspections and measurements to preparing work specifications and method statements, you'll help keep our network running smoothly. In this role, you'll also identify and propose asset renewal projects, allocate resources, and ensure all work meets quality and compliance standards. - Ensuring the inspection, measurement, maintenance, and renewal of trackwork assets on the Edinburgh Tram Network in line with industry standards and trackwork manuals.
- Planning and delivering track maintenance activities while ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Conducting detailed track inspections and measurements to assess asset conditions and identify required maintenance.
- Preparing work specifications, resource plans, and method statements, ensuring compliance with safe systems of work procedures.
- Identifying and proposing asset renewal projects, allocating resources, and overseeing delivery in accordance with maintenance plans.
- Checking the quality of completed work to ensure assets meet required standards and compliance regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records, updating systems and databases with key trackwork data.
A Degree in Civil, Trackwork Engineering, or similar (Chartered status preferred). - Experience in the rail industry
- Ability to demonstrate, promote, and embed safe working behaviours within the team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
- Strong coaching, influencing, and development skills to support team growth.
- Holding and retaining competencies relevant to the role, as required by business needs.
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills to manage maintenance activities efficiently.
