Full Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Jointly building and leading the agency's intelligence function at a strategic and tactical level, overseeing analysis of threats and risk to support the development of the agency's responses though its Strategic Assessment.
- Working collaboratively with Companies House and our parent department, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) in delivering the Companies House reforms as part of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023.
- Supporting the Assistant Director (D3/G6) by taking a lead role in developing and implementing the Future Intelligence Model for the agency, putting intelligence at the heart of investigations.
- This will include leading by example, being a champion for change and actively driving change through engagement of our people, encouraging ideas and challenges, whilst demonstrating exemplar behaviours in leading and managing others through change.
- Leading and championing new data and digital opportunities and being innovative around the opportunities afforded by new technologies.
- Jointly leading the agency's intelligence function at a tactical level through a team of Intelligence Officers and Analysts based at locations across the Insolvency Service, growing capability aligned to the Government Counter Fraud Profession.
- Responsible for the delivery of the Intelligence Team operational objectives and performance, ensuring the effective use of resources in response to the priority threats and risks as agreed through the agency's Strategic Assessment and Control Strategy.
- Responsible for delivering value for money through continuous improvement and actively leading on risk management and mitigation's to support delivery of the agency's objectives and priorities through its intelligence function.
- Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders internally and across government and other law enforcement bodies, looking for opportunities for joint working in tackling corporate fraud and financial wrongdoing.
- Influencing the strategic direction of the Service through the identification and analysis of emerging themes and advising strategy group of trending or emerging issues.
