Full Job Description
Class 1 Driver
Location: Fort William
Shift: Monday - Friday, Nights
Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence?
If "YES," we want to hear from you!
About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will:
- Complete a variety of work to include delivering timber, loading trailers, local deliveries and trunking from Fort William to Eurocentral or Bathgate and reload back to Fort William.
- Move trailers to be parked in allocated areas ready for delivery.
- Ensure load security and adhere to site safety policies.
- Liaise with the Transport Office as to what vehicles are parked in the yard.
- Logging trailers in and out of the depot.
- Attending regular training sessions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Previous experience of shunting is advantageous.
- Counterbalance licence is preferrable, but not essential as full training can be given.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
