Full Job Description
Stirling Council has a unique position which offers an exciting opportunity for professional planning career development, to work in an area that encompasses diverse urban and rural places, environment and landscapes, rich in history and character. The posts offers excellent opportunities to deal with a varied and diverse caseload within a Service which is central to helping support the Council's strategic priorities including economic growth, diversification and environmental enhancement while protecting and promoting the area's natural and cultural heritage qualities. The role offers opportunities for being responsible for monitor and manage the receipt, collection and financial spend of developer contributions to ensure compliance with planning permissions and the efficient and transparent spend of contributions. The postholder will also proactively monitor identified planning conditions to ensure compliance with planning permissions. The role will involve liaising with colleagues in other Services of the Council and external organisations in connection with compliance and providing advice on planning matters to the public, developers and Elected Members of the Council. The successful candidates will provide a key role in helping deliver the Development Management performance objectives as part of the Council wide Development Management Service. The successful candidate will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure Scotland form.
