Full Job Description

Do you love that feeling of a freshly made bed, a tidy room, and everything just where it should be? If you’re someone who finds joy in creating clean, calm spaces, we think you’ll feel right at home with us.

We’re on the lookout for a friendly and reliable Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. You’ll be helping us keep things fresh, safe and sparkling from shared spaces to personal rooms making a real difference to the daily lives of the people we support.

You don’t need loads of experience, just a good eye for detail, a kind and respectful attitude, and the willingness to learn. You’ll be part of a rota, working flexible hours, and you’ll also play a part in showing new team members the ropes when it comes to keeping our spaces up to standard.

There’ll be training (including health and safety, like COSHH), and you’ll need to be comfortable using a computer for a bit of e-learning now and then. As a CrossReach service, we work within a Christian ethos, so you’ll be respectful of that and ready to support people in their chosen worship or spiritual practice.

You’ll need to be a member of the PVG Scheme or happy to join it but don’t worry, we’ll guide you through that bit.

So, if you’re looking for a role where what you do truly matters and where your efforts help others feel safe, cared for and comfortable we’d love to have you on board.

We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that support others.

Firstly, there is access to a wide range of exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card. We also ensure that your future and that of your loved ones is secured with a generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit. Balancing work and family are made easier with our suite of enhanced family friendly policies and your health and wellness are prioritised with access to our health cash plan, giving you cash back for a wide range of health treatments. We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges, providing invaluable support when you need it most.

But we also know that your training and development is important to you, and as well as a contribution to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow and develop in ways that are right for you.

You will also need to become amember of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to adhere to the SSSC Code of practice.

We are required to check the entitlement to work in the UK of all prospective employees, regardless of nationality or job category.

We are committed to ensuring that we attract, retain, and develop the very best people to build a diverse and talented team and we recognise that every individual’s unique background, experience and ability contributes to our success. We aim to create an inclusive and inspiring environment where individuals feel valued and respected and where people can belong, thrive and be their very best, whoever they are.
