Full Job Description
The Children’s Hearings System provides the operational setting in which SCRA and our partner agencies work. The aim is to provide a safety net for vulnerable children and deliver tailored solutions which meet the needs of the individuals involved, while helping to build stronger families and safer communities.
You will provide process and system support to the HR Team to deliver effective HR and workforce services across SCRA. With particular focus providing support to the HR team to deliver activities driven from the People Strategy across 2025/26. You will also provide HR administrative support to the HR team. You will also have some involvement in supporting colleagues with the delivery of recruitment activity.
Qualified to HNC in a relevant discipline or with equivalent experience, you will have experience of providing an inclusive customer service internally and externally, recognising the diverse needs of everyone to whom we provide a service. You will be able to act with confidentiality, tact, diplomacy, respect and empathy in line with our Core Values and inclusive behaviours. You will ideally be able to demonstrate continuous improvement behaviours, seeking opportunities to create and support effective change and harness innovation. With excellent interpersonal skills you must be able to build and maintain effective, inclusive, respectful and psychologically safe working relationships across SCRA. Communicating orally and in writing with clarity, integrity and enthusiasm are essential.
You will have proficient administrative skills and the ability to manage high volumes of work across a diversity of tasks. Methodical and adaptable planning and organisation skills are required to be able to prioritise your workload, and support others, producing work with accuracy. You will also be able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision, balanced with the confidence to seek guidance when appropriate, and to offer capacity to the team when available. You will have excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills, and experience of working with sensitive data. You will ideally have experience of producing statistics, and must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, MS Teams and Outlook.
You should have the ability to travel to other offices if required.
