Full Job Description
Museums Galleries Scotland is the National Development Body for the Scottish museums sector. We're here to support more than 440 museums and galleries, whether through strategic investment, advice, advocacy, skills development or other means. This is an opportunity to contribute to the work of a busy team, learn valuable vocational skills and gain a qualification in Business Administration at SCQF level 6. Modern Apprenticeships provide an alternative route into the world of work. The Business Administration Modern Apprentice is a varied role working with a range of colleagues and contacts to support the day to day running of an organisation. It offers the chance to develop new skills in all aspects of office administration including facilities, supporting compliance activities in our Scottish Qualifications Authority ('SQA') Assessment Centre, supporting meetings and events and being involved in project administration. With a strong collaborative approach, the Business Administration Modern Apprentice brings a positive, can-do attitude, great organisational skills and an interest in supporting and improving business processes. This role gives the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects and programmes and to be a point of connection across teams in a fast-paced environment., Although this is a hybrid role, regular office attendance in Edinburgh will be required. This will be agreed with the line manager.

- Nat 4 qualification or equivalent or equivalent experience Preference will be given to applicants who:
- have not completed (or are due to complete) a university degree;
- do not have significant paid work experience in the museums sector;
- have experienced barriers to employment.
