Full Job Description
This is a multi-disciplinary role focused primarily on supporting a legacy PRISM ERP system on IBM iSeries (AS/400), with flexibility to assist in other areas such as JD Edwards technical support/administration and Service Delivery Lead (SDL) responsibilities.
The ideal candidate brings strong iSeries (IBM i) application experience, has supported legacy ERP systems in a production environment, and is comfortable operating in multi-client managed service environment. Familiarity with JD Edwards (or the willingness to cross-train) is important, as is the ability to communicate directly with clients, coordinate across teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of service operations.
This is a permanent role, open to candidates across the UK Region, with standard UK business hours (9:00 AM to 17:30 PM GMT). Participation in an on-call rota may be required., Provide day-to-day application and operational support for the PRISM ERP system running on IBM iSeries (AS/400).
Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues, coordinating with internal teams and customer stakeholders.
Assist with JD Edwards CNC/admin activities (user provisioning, package deployments, job queue monitoring, etc.).
Support patching, upgrade planning, and DR validation activities across legacy and current ERP systems.
Identify opportunities to automate or streamline operational tasks.
Solid understanding of IBM i (iSeries / AS/400) operations, including CL programming, job management, and spool file analysis.
Hands-on experience supporting legacy ERP applications (ideally PRISM or similar manufacturing/financial systems).
Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or a willingness to learn and support CNC/admin tasks as needed.
Proficient in SQL and data extraction from DB2 or other iSeries data sources.
Set yourself apart:
Exposure to JD Edwards CNC concepts, Server Manager, and E1 security administration.
Understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or cloud-based ERP hosting models.
Experience with ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and ITIL-based practices.
Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting).
