Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Analyst with specialised expertise in Power BI to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping our business intelligence landscape, driving data-driven decision-making, and optimising our reporting capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust semantic and dimensional models that meet the organisation's business intelligence and reporting needs. You will create star schemas and data structures optimised for performance and usability, ensuring that our data assets are structured to deliver timely and accurate insights. Power BI Report and Dashboard Development. You will develop, maintain, and optimise Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to our stakeholders. Leveraging your expertise in DAX, you will create calculated measures, KPIs, and custom business logic, ensuring seamless integration with data from Azure Data Warehouse to deliver comprehensive and insightful reports. Collaboration. In this role, you will work closely with both other developers and business teams, to understand their requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions. Documentation and Support. You will document data models, reports, and other technical specifications to ensure clarity and consistency across the organisation. Additionally, a key expectation of this role is to deliver training to stakeholders on data tools and best practices.   • What are we looking for?
  • Power BI Expertise: Proven experience in developing and managing Power BI reports and dashboards. Strong understanding of Power BI features, including data modelling, DAX, and visualisation.
  • Data modelling: In-depth knowledge of semantic models and dimensional models. Experience with designing and implementing data structures.
  • Database skills: Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data. Experience with relational databases and/or data warehouses. Hands-on experience with Azure Data Warehouse and Azure Data Factory is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Desirable:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
