Pertemps are delighted to be working with a well-established local law firm looking to recruit a Legal Secretary to join their friendly and supportive team. If youre an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in Private Client or Conveyancingor looking to step into this area with solid legal admin experiencewed love to hear from you.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy legal environment and takes pride in delivering a high standard of administrative support.
What youll be doing:
- Providing essential administrative and secretarial support to fee earners
- Drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, reports, and correspondence
- Managing diaries, appointments, and client meetings
- Handling incoming calls, emails, and post with professionalism and efficiency
- Liaising with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date filing systems (digital and paper)
- Ensuring all documentation is handled confidentially and in line with legal procedures
What were looking for:
- Experience working as a Legal Secretary or in a legal administrative role
- Ideally some exposure to Private Client or Conveyancing work
- Confident using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
