Full Job Description
CAE is supporting the delivery of training for the P-8A Poseidon programme. We are welcoming expressions of interest to join the team as a: Console Operator (Con Op)Acoustics (Ac), Electronic Warfare (EW) or Controller (Cont) and Instructors. In these roles you will provide scenario control and perform a 'white force' role for training sessions at the Atlantic Building, RAF Lossiemouth. You will oversee the operation of the consoles and provide critical support directly to the RAF. As a potential Instructor you will provide weapons systems training to P-8A rearcrew. These roles would suit ex-Weapon System Operators (WSOs) and ex-Weapon System Operators (WSOps) looking to maintain their connection with the maritime patrol fraternity, ensuring the military personnel train to the highest standards.The Console Operator/Controller roles involve: Facilitation of individual and whole crew training events, including:
- OCU applied training
- Front line continuation training
- Facilitating training on console operation to RAF personnel
- 'White force' role playing
- Supporting team and collective training through the DOTC and other networks
- Act as 'game controller' during Weapons Tactics Trainer (WTT) and Weapon Systems Trainer (WST) training events
- Brief and debrief WTT/WST training events The Instructor role involves:
- Student mentoring, lesson preparation and pre-exercise and post exercise briefings
- Delivering the content of LSPECs and ASPECs
- Compilation of student reports
- Support to course design and maintenance
- 'White force' role playing

Military background with experience in maritime patrol operations - Ex-RAF/ RN WSO or WSOp
- Successful completion of the Aircrew Instructor Course (AIC) or equivalent (Controller only)
- Direct experience with the specified assets or similar high fidelity training devices to a standard that allows effective facilitation of training events
