Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00
Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.
To start 1st July 2025.

Job Details

To manage and organise the Justice Social Work and MHO services alongside maintaining an overview of the statutory social work requirements across East Lothian, ensuring that the provision of services, including assessment, monitoring and ongoing support, are coordinated, consumer responsive, operating within agreed standards and priorities, and managed within approved budgets.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Diploma in Social Work, or equivalent, together with relevant post-graduate qualification and substantial relevant experience.

NPPV:
The successful applicant will be required to submit an application for NPPV at Level 1, 2 or 3 as directed by their line manager

Scottish Social Services Council:
SSSC registration is an essential requirement of this role. If you are appointed and are not already a member of the relevant section of the SSSC Register, you will be required to apply for registration within 3 months of your start date to ensure that you are registered within the required 6 months.

Driving Licence
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*

PVG Information
This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
