We are seeking a candidate for a position as supply lecturer in the Science team, to work alongside academic colleagues as part of the delivery of Chemistry. Supply lecturing can include short term cover for absent members of staff, commitment to the delivery of semester and year long programmes of study.

Our curriculum is tertiary in nature covering SCQF 4-11, as such we are keen for applications from people who have experience of delivering in tertiary settings, schools, the Further Education sector or Higher Education. You will be based at the Inverness College campus where are science curriculum is delivered on site.

This role presents a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic person who enjoys teaching and learning to join an experienced and diverse team. You will be required to deliver curriculum in an innovative manner with a focus on best practice in the teaching of topics relevant to your role. You will be required to be an effective team member able to deliver a high quality curriculum and educational experience

You should also be flexible, reflective, innovative, creative and personally committed to continuing vocational and professional development.

You do not need to have a teaching qualification to apply as training will be provided, however some experience of instructing or teaching is welcome. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and have good IT skills in applications such as MS Office and other relevant subject related software packages.

Please note, the successful candidate will be subject to a PVG Disclosure Scotland and other background checks.
