We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to work for a global client based in Ayrshire who will work closely with regional logistics managers in NAM, EMEA, and APIC on a variety of exciting logistics projects and tenders. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the logistics field, and the successful candidate will have great scope to develop.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and 3/4PL operations, combined with the ability to problem-solve through data analysis. You’ll be highly numerate, flexible, and able to travel when needed to support regional operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the regional logistics managers in EMEA, NAM, and APIC in delivering strategic logistics projects, identifying, analysing, and delivering cost/service benefits.
• Develop, implement, and maintain logistics tools such as global logistics process maps, logistics improvement projects, tenders, change requests, and cost-saving evaluations.
• Develop logistics tender documents for outsourced logistics services and assist regional logistics managers through the tender process, from business award to implementation.
• Analyse logistics supplier performance metrics to identify areas for service and process improvements.
• Take a leadership role in managing major logistics projects, working across regions and functions to ensure successful delivery.
• Support the continuous improvement of logistics processes and help implement new solutions for improved efficiency.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
• A degree in Logistics, Logistics Engineering, Data Analysis, Business Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in logistics, either with a 3/4PL provider or within an in-house logistics function.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to make informed decisions based on logistics performance data.
• Experience in managing logistics projects, including tender processes and supplier performance analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to drive logistics improvements.
• Flexible and willing to travel when needed to support regional needs.
Additional Benefits:
• Competitive salary of circa £42,000 per annum.
• Free on-site parking.
• Hybrid working model, offering flexibility in how you balance remote and office-based work.
• Opportunity for career development and growth within the logistics team
• This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional with strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset. If you're looking to make a significant impact within a global logistics function, we'd love to hear from you!
I look forward to receiving your application.
