Are you an experienced audio professional looking for a new challenge? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and creative individual to join the BBC Audio Scotland and Northern Ireland team, contributing across the slate of speech and music content which we deliver to all of the UK networks, National services in Scotland and N Ireland, the World Service and BBC Sounds. This is a demanding role requiring a robust leader who can share their editorial and managerial vision to deliver the best possible content to our audiences. We also make World Book Club for the World Service. On Radio 3, we produce many hours of live instrumental and vocal music from concert venues across Scotland and Northern Ireland (where we partner with the Ulster Orchestra) and Jazz Record Requests. In the digital space, we make daily content for Radio 1 Dance and regular shows for Radio 3 Unwind. Our factual teams are at the forefront of multi-part narrative podcast production delivering big hitters like The Gatekeepers and In Dark Corners. We make Radio 4's Artificial Human and many single documentaries and short series for Radio 4, Radio 3 and the World Service. These programmes are regular features on award nomination and recipient lists around the world. In Belfast, we produce weekly editions of Pick of the Week. We also have a multi-award winning in-house drama and readings team responsible for titles like This Thing of Darkness, Mediation and fact and fiction abridgements for Book at Bedtime and Book of the Week.
