Full Job Description
As a Pre-Construction Assistant at Story Contracting, you will report to the Business Development Manager and will help support our Work Winning team in Scotland as part of the Pre-Construction Department.
- Monitoring of portals and distribution of updated PQQ/Tender information to relevant bid teams
- General completion of standard information in both documents and portals including download opportunities and upload of completed submissions to the portals
- Working on PQQ/tender submissions in order to ensure coordination with Bid Managers, Estimators and Operations staff and to ensure quality of bid and edit accordingly
- Matching responses to questions from the standard library and editing the text accordingly
- Maintaining CV database and write bespoke CVs where required
- Writing answers to PQQ / Tender question covering company procedures and experience
- Produce graphics, including infographics, charts and tables
- Prepare and maintain the bid deliverables schedule, monitor tasks and deadlines
- Manage and keep up to date a Client Relationship Management system
- Manage and keep up to date the library of standard answers and information
- Question analysis, writing and editing proposals and supporting documentation (e.g. case studies, CVs)
- Attend meetings where required and be responsible for the recording of minutes and distributing etc.
- Perform general departmental administration tasks and other appropriate ad hoc duties, and administrative support as and when required to meet the needs of the department / Story Scotland

- Strong knowledge of bid writing principles and ability to translate for a wide range of subject matters
- Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering compliant proposal documents
- The highest levels of attention to detail and the ability to write with pace, punch and power
- Ability to work under pressure, are deadline-driven and committed to excellence, whilst ensuring attention to detail
- Good knowledge of the English language and excellent written communication skills
- Experience of the Microsoft Office suite and have used Adobe InDesign
- A good standard of education including Maths and English
- Access to reliable transportation
