Full Job Description

The main purpose of this role within The Macallan Finance team is to process allocation change requests on a timely basis and to ensure allocations volumes held in SAP APO are accurate. The role holder will be the process owner for allocations master data and responsible for resolving allocation related issues raised by the business. There is stakeholder management across various parts of the business, which include commercial, brands, finance, operations and markets.,

  • Manage key allocations master data in APO, provide input on Macallan product hierarchies and ensure all Macallan SKUs are on allocation
  • Ensure allocation app is fit for purpose; escalate any issues to IT and test changes as appropriate
  • Process allocation change requests/enquiries logged on allocation's app in line with business rule SLAs/RAG status
  • Ensure allocation changes are communicated via. SharePoint as appropriate
  • Update allocation to reflect NPD or other supply related issues
  • Upload 24 months of allocations into SAP APO on an annual basis. Provide allocations support during 3YP process
  • Upload current allocations from SAP APO into planning analytics for each LE. Meet planning, forecasting and year end deadlines set, conduct key reconciliations and ensure APO is updated to reflect latest plan/forecast
  • Drive unbudgeted commercial benefit to the business via the identification and fulfilment of aged stock opportunities
  • Approve stock returns and add allocation to APO, if applicable
  • Create monthly allocation v shipment report. Analyse & investigate variances to minimise over shipment of stock
  • Provide support to allocations project work, including impact assessment on current processes, user acceptance testing and training.
  • Provide training and support to other team members/brands on allocation policies and procedures
  • Provide general administrative support at team meetings and holiday cover to the wider allocations team

    To be successful in this role, you will have Intermediate level or above on SAP ECC/APO. Power BI and/or Planning Analytics knowledge would be beneficial. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Experience in supply planning is essential, it would be highly desirable l if you hold this within within the whisky industry. You will also have excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, whilst being customer focused and collaborative in approach. Importantly, you will be an effective problem solver with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and continuously seek improvement.

  • Salary £36,000 - £46,000
