Full Job Description
As a Mining Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Geotechnical Characterisation: Assessing the geological and geotechnical aspects of mining sites, both surface and underground
- Rock Mechanics Principles: Applying rock mechanics principles to mine design challenges, ensuring stability and safety
- Project Scopes: Leading full project scopes from conceptual studies through feasibility study stages
- Collaboration: Liaising with mining teams and other technical specialists to optimise mining operations
- Proposal Preparation: Creating proposals, participating in marketing efforts, and developing project teams
We are looking for someone with: - A degree in geological, mining, or geotechnical engineering
- Good previous experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in geological modelling software and 2D/3D geotechnical numerical modelling
