Full Job Description
Our Aberdeen based client are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounts payable processes and will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounts payable department. This role requires excellent analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and implement solutions to improve processes.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions, ensuring data integrity within the accounting system.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Human Resources, to resolve any payment-related issues or queries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
- Train new staff on accounts payable procedures and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an accounts payable role, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software is essential
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative approach to working with others.
