Job Description

The role involves supporting the Employability Team Manager in the administration, co-ordination, planning and control of all the Scottish Government Grants for delivery of all services within the Moray Pathways Local Employability Partnership.

Supporting the partnership to deliver the Fund’s priorities, outputs and outcomes as set out the delivery plan and accompanying expenditure and deliverables.


The post holder will provide advice, financial and technical support to ensure that the delivery, expenditure, agreed milestones, reporting and evaluation, communications and branding are in line with the funding grants.

Requirements

Liaise with, advise and assist the project managers for all commissioned contracts, to ensure that they are delivering the projects timeously, on target, on budget and in accordance with the guidelines.

Collate and assist with preparation of regular reports to be provided to the Local Employability Partnership and Scottish Government. 

Ensure that paperwork and data are kept in accordance with funding guidelines and deal with any audits that are undertaken with the commissioning of projects. 

Publicise the project in accordance with publicity and branding requirements. 

 Provide comprehensive co-ordination of the funding programme including administration support to the partnership and the Moray Council Employability Team. 

The Individual

Demonstrable project administration/ co-ordination experience.

Knowledge/ experience of quantitative, qualitative and financial reporting.

Knowledge/experience of grant scheme delivery and working within funding regulations.

Liaison, co-ordination and collation of information from multiple sources into reports.

Experience of project/programme monitoring and evaluation procedures.

HNC/HND in Administration/ Information Management/ Business Management or suitable experience.

ECDL

Strong management and organisational skills.

Strong communication skills both written and oral.

Effective data management/record keeping/document retention for audit purposes.

Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure with ability to meet tight deadlines.

Effective time management skills with ability to manage conflicting priorities.

Confidence and ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision and as part of a Team.

Competent knowledge of Microsoft packages Word and Excel.

Financial management and project administration skills.

Ability to compile quantitative, quantitative and financial reports.

Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Ability to interpret and apply programme guidance and advise Project Managers/steering groups.

Demonstrable ability in relation to accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to develop, maintain and review monitoring and evaluation procedures.

Ability to relate to people at all levels.

Ability to work in a structured role within set guidelines.

Willingness to accept direction/delegation.

Appreciation, acceptance and commitment to the importance of confidentiality.

Ability to support delivery partners across strategic themes.

Ability to work in an open plan office and from home.

Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service.

 

Closing Date: 11 April 2025

Starting Salary: £33,439.90 per year. £17.74 per hour. 36.25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
