Behind Every Medal is a World-Class Workforce – Join us as a Workforce Manager to lead the way, manage a team of champions, and make sure everyone’s ready to cross the finish line in style

Be part of something extraordinary.

In July 2026, Glasgow will proudly host the 23rd edition of the Commonwealth Games, welcoming over 4,000 athletes and team officials from up to 74 nations and territories for 11 unforgettable days of world-class sport and celebration. With half a million ticketed spectators and a global broadcast audience of more than a billion, this is your chance to help shape history.

Glasgow 2026 Limited, the official Organising Committee (OC), is working in partnership with the Commonwealth Games Federation and Commonwealth Games Scotland to deliver a Games that is impactful, inclusive, and uniquely Glasgow.

We’re now looking for an experienced and proactive Workforce Manager to join our high-performing team.

About the Role

As Workforce Manager, you will play a central role in planning and delivering an exceptional workforce experience across all Games functions, ensuring our staff, volunteers, contractors, and partners are trained, supported, and Games-ready. You will lead key operational workstreams including uniform distribution, workforce systems, and the delivery of engaging training and recognition programmes.

This is a pivotal opportunity to work cross-functionally across departments, partners, and suppliers—bringing people together, solving complex challenges, and delivering outstanding operational outcomes for a truly global event.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading cross-functional workforce planning and data analysis for all workforce groups (staff, volunteers, contractors)
  • Supporting development of workforce systems and integration with Games-wide technology
  • Implementing the volunteer programme, recruitment campaign, and training delivery
  • Leading workforce operational planning for uniform, briefings, recognition, and Games-time deployment
  • Acting as the point of contact for workforce readiness testing and operational delivery
  • Collaborating closely with Event Operations, Catering, Transport, and other departments to ensure seamless on-venue workforce services

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience managing workforce operations at a major multi-venue sporting event or Games environment
  • Familiarity with Games Management and Volunteer Systems
  • Strong analytical, planning, and project management skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build trusted relationships in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach

Desirable

  • Experience designing and delivering workforce training programmes
  • Background in project management, ideally in a Games or sports context
  • A passion for large-scale events and community impact

Why Join Us?

This is your chance to be part of a once-in-a-lifetime event, contributing to the legacy of Glasgow 2026. You’ll work with a passionate and dedicated team who are committed to excellence, inclusivity, and delivering an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
