Full Job Description
Due to continued growth our Asset Management division have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure all commercial functions for the Division are completed to professional standards within agreed time and cost budgets. What you'll do The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
- Deliver Fit Out and Minor Works projects ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
- Manage the change and variation control process for the client and subcontractors
- Manage the interim claim process and overall project cashflow
- Negotiate, award and agree subcontracts, ensuring the maximum commercial performance of the project
- Audit the quality of subcontractor work on site and ensure scope of works adhered to
- Audit all subcontractor valuations and agree final accounts in line with agreed rates
- Dispute resolution
- Manage supplier and subcontractor payments in accordance with agreed terms
- Preparation of monthly cost value reconciliation reports What you'll bring As a Quantity Surveyor your main skills and experience will include
- Have relevant Quantity Surveying experience within a Construction, Fit Out or FM environment
- Possess either a Third Level Qualification in Quantity Surveying or demonstrate a level of experience obtained working in a comparable role
- Demonstrable experience Measure Term Contracts, including National Schedule of Rates
- Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and Information Technology in general
- Valid driving licence Desirable Criteria
- Have knowledge of construction practices that can be used on site to analyse the design and propose potential cost saving measures
- Knowledge of alternative Schedules of rates
- Project Management experience
- Experience of QS software such as Barcellos
