Full Job Description
An opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team of a main contractor, specialising in bespoke new build and refurbishment projects, primarily in the residential and commercial sectors. This contractor is renowned for high-quality workmanship, delivering luxury and inspired bespoke construction projects, while offering unrivalled client experience through excellent customer service and attention to detail.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager and working closely with the Surveying, Estimating, and Project Teams, you will provide effective day-to-day commercial support and monitor expenditure to ensure the commercial viability of current contracts. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting monthly valuations and final accounts within approved timescales. You will undertake subcontractor procurement, payments, and negotiation of final accounts to ensure optimal efficiency and profitability in the business. Additionally, you will play an active role in the preparation of new work tenders from time to time.
A systematic, planned, and analytical approach to all activities is essential. Most importantly, you will adopt a professional and proactive approach focused on building trust and long-term relationships with subcontractor partners and customers.
