Full Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and proactive Repairs Surveyor to join our team and help deliver a high-quality, customer-focused responsive maintenance service across a defined locality. Now is an exciting time to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of delivering a Customer-First housing experience for a better future You'll play a key role in ensuring Platform consistently meets customer expectations, complies with all statutory and regulatory obligations, and identifies opportunities to enhance value through planned investment. In this pivotal role, you will take full ownership of complex disrepair cases, with the support of our dedicated Legal and Coordinator teams, from carrying out detailed surveys through to resolution, providing expert technical advice throughout. You will also play an integral part in driving ongoing service improvements by producing clear, insightful reports and confidently presenting your findings and recommendations to a range of stakeholders, helping to inform decisions and embed best practice across the organisation.

  • Have a significant experience in housing and/or construction industry
  • Educated to degree or HND level equivalent in a relevant subject area
  • Knowledge of Human Habitation Act and Disrepair obligations as it relates to Platform repairs services
  • Successfully managing contractors to deliver a responsive and void maintenance services
  • Strong communicator and tenacious in pursuit of repairs problems whether they are technical or complex service or customer-related issues, to resolve to the satisfaction of Platform and its customers

    Salary £40,532 - £45,036 per annum (depending on experience) Location Home based with travel throughout locality Mergefield Title {Mergefield Value} Mergefield Title {Mergefield Value} This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST., While this position is home based, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as the role involves regular travel to properties throughout the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
