Shop Assistant Manager

Location: Kinross

Salary: £24,720 - £25,500 per annum, pro rata

Contract Type: Permanent, Part time, 15 hours per week (2 shifts, Monday to Saturday)

We are looking for a vibrant Shop Assistant Manager to join our team in Kinross, to elevate shop visual and product standards, to maximise income through commercial awareness and adept short term planning, promoting and maintaining first class levels of service to the public and to raise awareness of CHAS.

CHAS shops are a fast-paced, busy retail environment, you’ll need stamina to lead and support a strong team of dynamic volunteers and to manage a large volume of donations to help keep our shops beautifully stocked. 

Key responsibilities, reporting to the Shop Manager you will:

Ø Provide CHAS customers with excellent service and the best in-store experience to help maximise sales, donations and the profitability of the shop

Ø Manage stock processes to ensure correct density levels, processing to agreed quality and rotation so that stock moves quickly

Ø Help to maintain a high standard of visual merchandising, display and housekeeping standards throughout the shop

Ø Ensure the smooth operational running of the shop 

Ø Be a brand ambassador for CHAS promoting and bringing to life the communication of key activities and messages to the customer

Ideal candidate:

Ø Have a proven track record in retail, with previous customer service and visual merchandising experience

Ø Be enthusiastic and energetic, passionate about the values, vision and purpose of CHAS

Ø Enjoy working independently and collaborating as part of a team

Ø Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills to build effective relationships with staff, volunteers and the general public

Ø A creative thinker, who uses their initiative to find the best possible solution in every situation
