Looking for a role where you can make a real and lasting difference in a child’s life? As a full-time Children’s Residential Worker, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, supportive and nurturing home environment for children and young people in our care.

You’ll be based primarily at Rockwood, but will also support at Mount Pleasant, our other residential home in North Ayrshire. Don’t worry travel time and mileage between the houses is covered, so you’ll be supported to move between homes when needed.

Planning and taking part in everyday routines and joyful activities from baking cakes to kicking a ball about.
Building trusted relationships, offering guidance, and being someone they can truly rely on.
Bringing energy and warmth because being able to play, engage and have fun is just as important as anything else.

We’re looking for someone who:
Is caring, dependable, and calm under pressure.
Can adapt to the needs of the day and meet children where they are.
Is a great listener with a compassionate heart.
Has experience working with children or young people or is keen to learn with full training provided.
Holds a full manual driving licence travel is required and part of the role.

Your working pattern:
This is a full-time role following a rolling rota of early (7am3pm), late (2pm10pm), and sleepover shifts. You’ll usually work one sleepover per week (11pm7am), and flexibility to work across both homes will be essential.
