Sales & Business Development Manager – Conference Sales 

Location: Scottish Event Campus, Glasgow (site-based role)
Full-time | Permanent
Reports to: Head of Association Sales

Are you a natural connector with a passion for driving business growth? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, international environment where no two days are the same? If so, the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) wants to hear from you!

We’re looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager to lead the charge in securing high-profile association conferences for one of the UK’s most iconic venues. This is your opportunity to shape the future of the SEC by building meaningful partnerships, creating tailored solutions, and delivering exceptional client experiences.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Business development: Proactively generate leads across the association market, including PCOs and event organisers, through networking, outreach, and attending UK and international events.
  • Driving revenue: Build and manage a strong pipeline of conference opportunities, working closely with fellow sales colleagues to maximise venue tenancy and revenue.
  • Championing the SEC: Act as a trusted ambassador for the SEC, showcasing our world-class facilities and services through site visits, presentations, and client engagement.
  • Collaborating for success: Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery and outstanding customer service.
  • Strategic thinking: Contribute to the annual sales strategy, monitor market trends, and identify new growth opportunities.

Successful candidate:

  • A proven track record in consultative, solutions-based sales 
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to post-event follow-up.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • CRM proficiency and a sharp eye for detail, including financial data tracking.
