The Role
We have a unique and exciting opportunity available to join the team as a Licensing and Merchandise Manager! This role will place you at the heart of the action, working alongside experts to deliver a global event that sets the new standard for major sporting celebrations. You’ll gain hands-on experience and contribute to creating a world-class Games.
The Licensing and Merchandise Manager will play a key role in supporting the Commercial team to deliver the Licensing and Merchandise programme for Glasgow 2026. You will assist the Commercial Operations Manager in creating, reviewing, and providing the master license agreement. The successful candidate will also be required to support the management of the Master Licensee programme with a focus on marketing, accreditation, visual merchandising, Games time planning, and all compliance requirements.

Job Summary:
As Licensing and Merchandise Manager, you will be required to attract and manage high-profile licensees whilst building strong, meaningful relationships. You will be required to protect the Glasgow 2026 brand for consumer products, merchandise, and sponsor premiums. You will also work closely with the wider Glasgow 2026 team to ensure that all licensing and merchandise operational requirements are agreed and fully implemented.
Key Skills and Experience:
We are looking for a Licensing and Merchandise Manager who has proven experience in event retail management, specifically the sourcing and management of licensed partners and retail contracts in the sporting or large-scale events sector. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in brand protection methods or have worked closely with Trading Standards previously.
Key attributes include being an excellent communicator, thriving in a fast-paced environment, and being a strong team player.
In addition, the successful candidate should have a high level of organisational skills and be able to manage demanding projects simultaneously.
