Assistant Accountant

Salary: £34,606.00 to £43,123.00 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)

This post will be based at Link’s Edinburgh office. However, hybrid working is available within this role.

The Role

The role of the Assistant Accountant is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad experience within this diverse and growing organisation, working to provide financial services to Link and all its partners within the group.

As a key role within the Finance Team, you will have the opportunity to gain experience of a broad range of financial activities. You will be responsible for the production of management accounts, preparation of year end accounts and budget models. In addition, you will also produce regular and ad hoc reports as requested, along with preparation of balance sheet control account reconciliations including salary control account reconciliations.

About You

The successful candidate will be educated to Higher level or equivalent with an intermediate level knowledge of accounting. You will be able to demonstrate this with your strong numeracy and literacy skills and will be computer literate with Microsoft packages, in particular, an advanced level of knowledge in Excel.

The role requires experience of accounts analysis and reconciliation, using Financial Computer Systems and process improvements, with an investigative approach and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop effective relationships, a customer-focused approach to service delivery, excellent organisational and time management skills as well as proven analytical and problem-solving skills are all essential for this role.
