Full Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Site Manager with a strong background in new build housing and trades. The successful candidate will assist the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the planning and coordination of construction activities on site.
- Supervise and manage trades and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor and report on the progress of construction projects, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project plans.
- Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment needed for construction activities.
- Communicate effectively with the Site Manager, project team, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety documentation.
- Support the Site Manager in resolving any on-site disputes or issues that may arise.
- Foster a positive and productive working environment on site.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience in new build housing projects, with a solid trades background.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools is a plus.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction management or a related field are preferred.
