Immediate Requirement - Buyer

Our client is looking for a Buyer to join their busy Procurement Team.

The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing goods and services and the responsibilities of the role will include:

• Create and manage purchase orders for goods and services
• Sourcing products or services to the required specifications
• Negotiating pricing and delivery times
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers
• Expediting orders ensuring timely delivery of products
• Ensure all systems are updated
• Working closely with key internal stakeholders
• Analyse market trends and identify new suppliers

Knowledge and experience required for the role:

• Experience of working in a similar buyer/purchasing role
• Experience in placing purchase orders and expediting orders
• Experience of using ERP/MRP systems would be highly advantageous
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• A good communicator who can build strong working relationships with colleagues and Suppliers
• Team Player
