Full Job Description

  • To lead and coordinate all CFD personnel assigned to a project.
  • To ensure the satisfactory performance of the CFD discipline on the project implement any necessary action to maintain the standard of work and performance.
  • Be responsible for the CFD content and quality of all work the discipline undertaken on the project.
  • To lead the development of the CFD capability in the London or Aberdeen office., Perform CFD simulations and assist in the performance of engineering studies. This entails
  • Running of proprietary software (e.g. CFX) or in-house developed software;
  • Performing engineering calculations.
  • Production of technical notes for reporting of study results.
  • Presentation of findings to clients.
  • Leading and coordinating discipline personnel assigned to a project.
  • Ensuring that the project scope of work, design basis, philosophies, standards and procedures including QA are known, understood and implemented by the discipline personnel assigned to the project.
  • Direction and monitoring of the execution of work about the content and quality of all documentation within the disciplines scope of work.
  • Participating in all directive activities including preparation and checking documents, specifications, procedures, standards, data sheets etc.
  • Prepare proposals.
  • Travelling as required to support the activities listed above.

    Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Significant experience, mostly in the upstream oil & gas business in a CFD leadership role.
  • Competencies: The job holder must have proven the following:
  • Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS Office software.
  • Full command of the English language written and spoken.
  • Good discipline and team leadership skills.
  • Analytical and judgmental skills to find and implement proactive solutions., Oil and gas industry background.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamic fluid properties & phase behaviour.
  • Knowledge of design issues for oil and gas processing facilities.
  • Knowledge of design issues for utilities and support systems.
  • Modelling and analysis of steady state for process plant.
  • Ability to assess key uncertainties impacting production system development.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
