Full Job Description

Contract Scotland is working with a private developer to secure an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flatted developments and large-scale private development, with expertise in new build housing. You will be working on a variety of projects in Scotland at various stages of development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee commercial management of large-scale residential projects, including flatted developments and new build housing.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for projects.
- Negotiate contracts and liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals.

Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in commercial management within the construction industry, specifically in flatted developments and large-scale private development.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation.
- Ability to lead and manage a team.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional membership with RICS or similar is preferred.
