Full Job Description
Anderson Knight is currently recruiting for an Environmental Consultant to join their team. This role is essential for ensuring that our operations comply with all environmental regulations and contribute to the sustainability goals of our organization. Having a strong knowledge of environmental policies and legislation, alongside practical experience in environmental management and sustainability initiatives throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Compliance: Ensure the organization complies with local, and national environmental regulations as well as environmental legislation and advise management on any changes or potential impacts.
• Environmental Audits: Conduct regular environmental audits, inspections, and assessments to identify potential risks and non-compliance issues.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Support the company’s sustainability programs and initiatives, working to reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and overall environmental footprint.
• Environmental Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation on environmental performance, including waste management, emissions data, and regulatory compliance. Provide regular reports to senior management.
• Training & Awareness: Organize training sessions and awareness programs for employees regarding environmental policies, procedures, and best practices. Foster a culture of environmental responsibility within the organization.
• Continuous Improvement: around emerging environmental trends, technologies, and best practices. Recommend improvements to environmental management systems and performance.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Knowledge of ISO 14001, EMAS, and other environmental management systems is a plus.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess environmental risks, identify solutions, and implement improvements effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
