Finance Manager

Reed is working with a key client based in the West Dunbartonshire area to recruit a Finance Manager. The position is hands on, managing a team of accountants and focussing on monthly reporting requirements. The role reports directly to the Financial Controller.

In addition to the above, the post holder will also work closely with senior management and non-finance stakeholders in relation to the operational and commercial aspects of the business. Our client is open to both qualified and qualified by experience accountants. The ideal candidate will have previous direct management experience and preferably a background in manufacturing but this is not essential to be considered.

The main responsibilities the Finance Manager position entails is:

• Develop and manage a team of accountants
• Oversee the day to day running of the finance department
• Work closely with senior managers and non finance stakeholders, providing accurate financial information and advice
• Support budget and forecasting preparation for operational activities
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts
• Take charge of the annual audit process

To be consider for the role, you must possess the following:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) or QBE
• Excellent communicator to deal with non-finance stakeholders
• Direct management experience is ideal
• Ability to work with tight deadlines

This is a hands on role and varied role which would suit a proactive and commercially focussed individual.
