The NHS Golden Jubilee finance team has a unique opportunity for an individual with the ambition, drive and determination to make a real difference. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified finance professional who is self-motivated and wants to be part of a dynamic Financial Accounting department.

This is a senior role within a multidisciplinary financial accounting team responsible for providing professional financial accounting service to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. 

Youll be expected to work autonomously and to use initiative, experience and knowledge to make decisions impacting in a number of key areas.  This includes: 

Managing the accounting and governance of the Boards innovation and endowment fund portfolio.

Delivering the boards capital accounting function, ensuring the provision of timely and accurate information to support capital planning and reporting.

We are looking for someone who is committed to working in a challenging, rewarding and enjoyable finance role in the NHS.

A professional accountancy qualification (or imminently completed qualification) and experience in a similar role.

Extensive experience in the finance department of a complex organisation.

Specialist knowledge of NHS capital / NHS Charities financial and accounting procedures, in particular budget monitoring and control techniques.

Problem solving and change management skills.
