Hourly rate of pay: £17.04 - £18.45

Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00
Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

Are you creative with an analytical mindset? Can you look at a process and visualise a way to improve it? Do you have an understanding of data management?

The Development and Transformation team use a workflow based low-code development platform to design, automate and optimise business processes and digital solutions for our customers.

We are looking for a detail oriented, self-starting individual with excellent communication skills to join us in transforming processes and facilitating the delivery of online services. You will build, iterate and support a portfolio of forms, case management solutions and business processes..

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the software development lifecycle and experience of problem solving. Skills including process mapping, requirements gathering, business analysis and system testing will be advantageous. Training will be provided as required by the post.

This post can be predominantly home based although visits to council sites throughout East Lothian will be required.

Job Details

To work as a member of the IT Business Services team with a primary focus on the effective use of the development platforms to bring about Council wide digital transformation.

The key areas of responsibility are:
• Working with Service Departments to bring about transformational change using the Council’s development tools.
• Assisting with the support and development of the Council’s MIS estate as required.
• Providing Level 1 IT Support and assisting the support efforts of others.
• Provide professional advice and guidance to enable council wide digital transformation.

The Jobholder will be a proactive individual with excellent customer service with experience of assessing client and service need.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Relevant HNC and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.

Driving Licence
A full current driving licence is desirable for this post.
