A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fishmonger to join a prestigious establishment in Ballater, celebrating the history and culture of the Scottish fishing industry. This role is integral to maintaining the "catch to plate" concept, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and process.

About the Role: As the Fishmonger, you will be responsible for running the fresh fish and seafood counter and shop, ensuring an exceptional experience for every visitor. Your duties will include:

* Maintaining exemplary retail standards

* Ensuring high standards of presentation, stock condition, and control

* Reacting to sales trends and communicating updates to the Restaurant Manager & Head Chef

* Providing excellent customer service

* Utilizing strong merchant skills to deliver financial results

About You: The ideal candidate will have:

* A natural flair for customer service

* Strong merchant skills and a history of delivering financial results

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* An eye for detail

* Basic knowledge of fish and knife skills (an advantage)
