Project Manager - Rail & Civil Engineering Projects
Are you a results-driven Project Manager with a background in rail and civil engineering? We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major infrastructure projects across Scotland for a reputable civil engineering contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their project management career and make a tangible impact on significant rail and civil engineering developments.
Role Overview:
As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle from initial planning to successful delivery. You'll work closely with teams on-site and liaise with stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll have the chance to take ownership of high-profile projects and lead multidisciplinary teams, all while championing safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all project phases, from initiation through to completion, ensuring that milestones are met.
- Develop detailed project plans, resource allocations, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor budgets and schedules, implementing corrective actions as needed to meet project goals.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Oversee all site activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience in project management within the rail or civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, cost control, and risk management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in a construction environment.
