Full Job Description

Our client are a leading construction company specialising in new build residential projects. Their commitment to excellence and innovation has made us a trusted name in the industry. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Edinburgh.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for residential projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis.
- Manage and control project costs, ensuring projects are completed within budget.
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Analyse and negotiate contracts and subcontracts.
- Monitor project progress and report on any variations from the project plan.
- Conduct risk, value management, and cost control.
- Advise on procurement strategy and recommend procurement routes.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Prepare and submit final accounts.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically in residential projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Valid UK driving license.
