Quantity Surveyor

Our client are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their large commercial team in Motherwell. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private housing projects and possess excellent analytical and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for private housing projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Manage project finances, ensuring costs are controlled and budgets are met.
- Perform cost analysis, value engineering, and procurement strategy.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare and review tender documents and contracts.
- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any variances.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in private housing projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools. Knowledge of COINS would be an advantage.
