Senior Site Manager

Senior Site Managers are required for large-scale refurbishment projects in Edinburgh. 

The Opportunity

We are recruiting experienced Senior Site Managers to join a leading Tier 1 construction contractor delivering high-value refurbishment projects in Edinburgh. With projects exceeding £30m in value, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on prestigious developments that will shape the city’s landscape.

As a Senior Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers excellent career progression within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently.
• Enforce strict health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections to mitigate risks.
• Manage quality control to ensure work meets building regulations and contractual standards.
• Coordinate and motivate site teams and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
• Monitor project progress, reporting regularly to the senior management team.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Plan and manage site logistics, resources, and schedules effectively.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience managing large-scale construction or refurbishment projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and building regulations.
• SMSTS, SMSTS and First Aid at Work certifications.
• Exceptional leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent.
• Experience with Tier 1 contractors or working on refurbishment projects valued at £30m+.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes.
