Legal PA – Part Time (Up to 21 hours)

Are you a skilled Legal PA looking for part-time hours with real flexibility, meaningful work, and a fantastic team culture?
Syme Drummond is proud to partner with a leading Scottish law firm to recruit a part-time Legal PA for their busy Property & Construction team. This job-share role offers up to 21 hours per week, covering Monday (full day), Tuesday (full day), and Wednesday afternoon (from 12 noon onwards). The role is hybrid, typically with one day per week in the firm’s central Glasgow office.
In this role, you’ll work closely with 8 fee earners-from trainees to managing partners-providing essential support across diary management, travel bookings (mainly UK-based, with occasional international trips), mailbox management, invoicing, WIP reports, and billing. You’ll also maintain accurate records of open matters, team allocations, and financial progress, while assisting with general PA tasks such as call handling, expenses, document formatting, and event coordination.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with confidence in managing numbers and reports
- Experienced in a similar Legal PA role (essential)
- Calm and efficient under pressure, with strong multitasking abilities
- An excellent communicator, comfortable supporting senior professionals
- Proactive, adaptable, and a team player
- Professional, personable, and deadline-focused
- Bonus: Experience in property or construction law (useful but not essential)
