Your Role As an AI Regulation & Governance Consultant, you will be leading our trusted AI initiatives, leveraging a rich background in data, artificial intelligence, regulation, and compliance. Drawing from your extensive experience, you will drive the development and implementation of AI frameworks that put safety, transparency, fairness, robustness, and ethics at the heart of decision making. This key leadership role encompasses strategic guidance, stakeholder collaboration, and the establishment of best practices for AI governance within the organisation. You will manage key responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Developing frameworks and the business process for governing AI safely, fairly, and ethically.
  • Establishing the governance required throughout the AI development lifecycle from concept to live.
  • Developing the technical assurance methods to ensure AI solutions are compliant with industry and government regulations, and clients' own ethics policies, including familiarity with global AI regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., GDPR, AI Act in EU, etc).
  • Engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry groups.
  • Representing the company in discussions on AI ethics, ensuring our commitment to responsible AI is communicated effectively.

  • Using your skills and experience to guide and contribute to development of assets and propositions relating to AI regulation and governance.
  • Keeping our own teams upskilled and aware of the latest advancements in AI regulation and governance.

  • Business Development - Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution - Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development - Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

    Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Experience of proposition building and delivery.
  • Leadership: proven leadership experience in AI regulation and governance, demonstrated by your roles in industry, government, or professional services.
  • Technical: Extensive expertise in strategy, data/AI governance and AI/machine learning. Proficient understanding of AI, machine learning algorithms, data science concepts, and their applications in business. Proficiency in creating technical documents such as policy drafts, guidelines, and compliance reports.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to provide strategic guidance on AI governance to senior leaders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder engagement skills, honed through interactions with government agencies, industry partners, and internal teams.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to represent the company in discussions on AI governance and deliver training sessions, to upskill both internally employees and clients. Strong ability to communicate complex AI and regulatory concepts to a non-technical audience, both written and oral.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements in AI governance, contributing to a culture of continuous learning within the organisation.
