Full Job Description
Main Purpose of the Role

Primary School Support Worker (Fixed Term until 17 August 2025) - PKC12513
£20,893 - £22,019 (35 Hours per week, Term-time only)
Milnathort Primary School
We are looking for a well-motivated and organised person to join us at Milnathort Primary School.
You will work term time, to undertake a broad range of clerical duties.
You will work as part of a team to assist and support staff, parents and children under the direction of the Head Teacher/Depute Head Teacher with a full understanding of the need for absolute confidentiality.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
You will carry out a wide range of routine clerical duties or tasks associated with a busy office environment e.g. filing, photocopying, answering calls and emails, scheduling appointments or meetings for others, and a wide range of other tasks as needed.
Process confidential paper based or computerised information through creating and updating files, data input, data retrieval and filing in an accurate and timely way. File and archive materials, as required.
Finance duties - This includes, complying with the Council’s financial procedures, using the Council’s financial software (Integra), processing of invoices and/or other financial documents, as required.
Updating financial spreadsheets in respect of the devolved school budgets, for example, printing and monthly reconciliation of reports and pre-authorisation of invoices using Integra.
Processing of orders through the Council’s Procurement Systems and
processes (PECOS).

SEEMIS - Entering, updating and monitoring information relating to pupils and
teaching staff ensuring that it is accurate and up-to-date.
Annual ScotXed Census Returns, liaising with staff in school, as required.
Preparation of reports and annual returns from SEEMiS in line with authority standards and requirements, where appropriate.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience in dealing with the public and the ability to work with the minimum of supervision are essential.
You must have a pleasant manner, an aptitude for PC work and a good understanding of office procedures.
You must have a knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
Knowledge of Financial Record Keeping and procedures is helpful.
We are looking for someone that can bring experience and knowledge of working in a school.
You will be able to respond to visitors in a prompt, welcoming and courteous manner.
You will observe strict confidentiality, exercise tact and discretion in carrying out tasks.
