Full Job Description

Job Title: Community HUB Assistant

Department: Community Services

Location: Barrowfield, Glasgow, G31

Salary Scale: WT Grade 1 £21,232 per annum


We are looking for a Community HUB Assistant who shares our Values. The Community Hub Assistant (CHA) will work on a shift basis to provide janitorial cleaning and set up duties within the Barrowfield Community Centre.

 

The Community Centre is normally open 7 days per week, with late night opening on weeknights to 8pm

 

The CHA will ensure that the Centre is prepared and operational for activities. The CHA will ensure that all daily/weekly checks/tasks are undertaken including fire safety, health & safety, cleaning, security and maintenance within the Centre and its immediate grounds including the MUGA and Community Park.

 

The CHA will make customers and visitors feel welcomed and valued, ensuring their experience of using the Community Centre is a positive one

You should have:

·      Excellent Customer Centred Approach, interpersonal and engagement skills

·      Professional appearance, manner with an approachable and friendly outlook

·      Experience of implementing health and safety processes

·      Experience of working within a community-based setting 

·      Ability to meet the practical requirements of the job including working evening and weekends as well as some unsociable hours
