Full Job Description
WA is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Financial Reporting Controls Lead. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead financial reporting, compliance, and control processes in a complex and evolving environment.
This role is based in Edinburgh and will operate on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage external audit processes and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.
- Lead the month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and enhance financial controls, ensuring strong governance across the organization.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, treasury functions, and risk management strategies.
- Provide technical accounting advice and support to senior leadership.
- Manage and develop a finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
About You:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in financial reporting and compliance.
- Experience in managing external audits and liaising with auditors.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and mentoring teams.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive financial process improvements.
