Full Job Description
Structural Inspector - Permanent - Motherwell
We are hiring a Structural Inspector to assess fabricated components for defects and quality issues. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with welding and fabrication experience, keen attention to detail, and knowledge of NDT techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect structural components using NDT methods (training provided if required).
- Identify defects and decide on component acceptance/rejection.
- Work with engineers to review test results and improve quality processes.
- Use CMM equipment and precision measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, calipers, etc.).
- Support ISO 9001 quality systems and SAP processes.
Requirements:
- Time-served welder or equivalent fabrication/welding qualification.
- 3+ years of fabrication experience in manufacturing (automotive, marine, oil & gas, or similar).
- PCN Level 2 in NPI & UT (or willingness to complete training).
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings and work with measurement tools.
- Experience with quality control processes and SAP systems.
Location: Motherwell

- Day shift 35 hours
