Hybrid working (core office days Tue, Wed & Thur)

Hours 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, with a half-day Friday (finishing at 1:30pm)

As HR Business Partner, you’ll play a vital role in shaping and supporting a proactive, people-first HR function. You’ll work closely with the HR Director and leadership team, managing day-to-day HR operations while influencing positive change and driving people initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance, absence, and benefits.
• Act as the HR lead for payroll preparation, data management and system upkeep using ADP and BambooHR.
• Build strong working relationships with managers – supporting, coaching and upskilling them to improve HR confidence and capability.
• Deliver and maintain up-to-date HR policies, support ethical audits, and ensure compliance with current legislation and best practice.
• Proactively contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement activities, including Investors in People and process efficiencies.
• Develop and deliver training programs for both line managers and employees.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven generalist HR experience, ideally in a similar standalone or business partner role.
• Confident working with HR systems (especially ADP and BambooHR) and proficient in Excel for payroll preparation.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations with the ability to advise line managers effectively.
• A people-focused approach with excellent communication skills and the ability to build credibility at all levels.
• CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above) with a proactive, collaborative mindset and a willingness to work with autonomy.
• Experience of designing, sourcing and delivery of training and development initiatives.
