Full Job Description

We have a brand-new opportunity for a Regional Head of Delivery to join our Growth and Development team at Platform Housing Group. Our Growth and Development Team is an exciting place to be. We have a growing new build development programme, across a very large geography and as a market leader we are looking for someone to join our team to help further our reputation as a "go to partner" in the market. Now is a great time to join Platform; we are a dynamic, forward-thinking social housing business who offer employees an inclusive and supportive environment with excellent benefits and family friendly policies. What could you be doing as our Regional Head of Delivery? The Regional Head of Delivery will be responsible for leading a Regional New Homes Delivery team to achieve business objectives and to meet the annual programme to the required standards of the Group. You will regularly monitor and take action in relation to engagement levels of the team. You will be responsible for the delivery of Regional new build completions ensuring they are on time, to the stated quality and within agreed budget, KPI and business plan targets. Regular updates will be provided to Directors and stakeholders to make sure programme delivery is in line with Homes England and corporate Group targets. Leading and developing a high performing New Homes Delivery Team to deliver day to day management of development schemes from contract start through to end of defects, you will also inspire and encourage an organisational culture which reflects our People Values encouraging people to bring their best selves to work.

We are looking for someone with experience of delivering a programme of mixed tenure new homes. You will be someone who has a demonstrable background of leading and managing a high-performance construction programme that improves quality cost and timeliness of delivery. This would be ideally gained in a multi-site environment. Knowledge of Local and National Housing/Planning Policy, including Local Authority Planning Policies, Local Development Frameworks, Core Strategies & Section 106 agreements is key in this role. You will be a natural leader of people with excellent managerial and motivational skills. You will be someone who has the ability to express ideas verbally and in written form. It is key that you can evidence continuing professional and personal development with awareness of latest thinking, developments and best practice in the field. While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations as required. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park, Solihull and Central Park, Worcester. Some of our core benefits include:

  • 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) with opportunity to buy and sell leave
  • Family friendly policies, flexible working, and ability to work from home in most roles

Join us and find your purpose at Platform!
  • Working with us is more than just a job, you will be joining an amazing organisation that values you and your contribution, and where you can truly make a difference and change people's lives. You will join the largest social housing association in the Midlands. We're much more than just houses; we build homes, strong communities, and make a real and positive difference to the lives of our customers. We recognise the unique and individual needs of people, so if you are interested in this role but would like to explore a different way of working to the standard Monday to Friday, 9-5 approach, then please highlight this on your application or discuss it with us at the interview stage. After all, we want to attract the best people to work for us and we know that one size does not fit all. Platform is a great place to work, we offer lots of opportunities for you to get involved, share ideas and shape what we do - from networking groups through to fun community and social events. This is an exciting time to join us, that will provide you with real exposure to the wider dynamics of a truly modern housing association that will play a major part in delivering our 5-year corporate strategy., We put colleagues and customers at the heart of all we do. Valuing difference, we are free to challenge each other and are open and honest in our relationships. Own It We say what we'll do and then we do it. We listen, understand and are empowered to make decisions. We look for our own ways to learn and adapt and focus on what we can do. One Team We are connected, collaborative and in it together. We want everyone to reach their potential and be the best they can be. We actively support each other to make this happen. Be Brave We are curious and courageous. We look for better ways to do things, are comfortable trying them and learn quickly. We are not afraid to stand out from the rest and celebrate our successes.
